Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run the store:
- Shopify, which powers our online store. See Shopify's privacy policy.
- Payment providers, such as Shopify Payments and PayPal, to process your payment.
- Manufacturing, fulfilment and shipping partners, who receive your name, delivery address, phone number and order details so your order can be prepared and delivered.
- Analytics and advertising providers, including Google and Meta, as described in the advertising section below.
- Authorities and advisers, where we are required by law, or need to protect our rights, for example to respond to a lawful request, or to our accountants and legal advisers.
We don't sell your personal information.
International transfers
We are based in Canada, and some of our service providers, including our manufacturing, fulfilment and shipping partners, are located outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in China, Canada and the United States. When your information is transferred, we take steps to protect it as required by applicable data protection law.
Advertising and analytics
We use your personal information to measure how the Site is used and to show you advertising we think may interest you.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how customers use the Site. Read Google's privacy policy, or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- We use Google Ads and Meta advertising tools, which may use cookies and similar technologies to measure our ads and to show you our ads on other websites. You can manage Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies, through the cookie banner on the Site.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a site. We use three kinds:
- Necessary cookies keep the store working, for example your cart, checkout and login.
- Analytics cookies tell us how the Site is used, for example which pages are visited.
- Advertising cookies help us measure our ads and show you relevant ads elsewhere.
Most of our cookies last between 30 minutes and two years. You can change your cookie choices using the cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site working properly.
Legal bases (UK and EEA)
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, we process your personal information on these legal bases:
- To perform our contract with you, for example to process and deliver your order.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example tax and accounting records.
- For our legitimate interests, for example preventing fraud, keeping the Site secure and improving our service, where these don't override your rights.
- With your consent, for example non-essential cookies and marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil your order, handle returns and disputes, and meet tax and accounting requirements. We keep customer support messages for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. After that, we delete or anonymise the information. If you unsubscribe from marketing, we keep only what is needed to honour your request.
Automated decisions
We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that has a legal or similarly significant effect. Shopify uses limited automated fraud prevention, such as temporarily blocking IP addresses or cards linked to repeated failed transactions.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access your personal information, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first, and we'll respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, and to ask that it be corrected or deleted. You can also use an authorised agent to make these requests. Contact us using the details below.
Children
The Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Do Not Track
There is no consistent industry standard for "Do Not Track" signals, so we don't change how we collect or use information when we receive one from your browser.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. The latest version is always on this page.
